CHICAGO, Illinois—March 2, 2018— Twisted Oyster Film Festival (TOFF) will open on July 20 with its theme “Vital Signs.”
Twisted Oyster Film Festival leads the way in search of works that push the boundaries of content and narrative with a mission to bridge culture, society and technology. For 2018, we seek to highlight filmmakers and artists from all over the world, whose works are meaningful, innovative and open a dialogue that speaks to the planet’s fragility, the human print and its impact. The festival seeks works with subjects encompassing global warming, species in extinction, dependency of natural resources.
Annually, the Festival opens with a Time-based Media Art Exhibition and this year is no exception. We seek installation works, web, virtual and augmented reality art and experimental photography too.
This years exhibition takes place from July 20 to August 5, 2018 at the Zhou B Art Center‘s second floor gallery in Chicago, which will include three days of film screenings from July 18 through July 20, 2018, a meet and greet with filmmakers, and artist dialogue. A second iteration of the show will take place in Miami, Florida in a future date.
